Verifies patient coverage eligibility and acquires authorizations. Handles all patient requests, including medical record requests and prescription refill requests. Answers telephone. In the absence of PSR: greets patients, schedules appointments for patients and vendors, prepares daily transaction sheets for office manager to review and make bank deposits. Performs typing and general office duties. Must be patient and demonstrate good judgment. Must have excellent grammar, effective communication skills, and present a professional image. Must have working knowledge of health insurance and be comfortable with navigating coverage sites.
