Will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, accidents, fires, in any area of the county. Other duties include driving and operating emergency type vehicles and maintaining duty files of work performed. This person must have a current VA EMT-Basic or ALS certification and EVOC as recognized by VA Office of EMS. Firefighter 1, Advanced Life Support Certification and HazMat Operations are strongly encouraged. Salary is based on experience and certification. FT personnel will receive VRS retirement and insurance benefits.
