Visitor Use Assistant - Luray

The Visitor Use Assistant (Fees) positions are temporary appointments not to exceed 8 months. Visitor Use Assistants are responsible for collecting appropriate fees at entrance stations and campgrounds. Fee collection duties include operating an electronic cash register; performing opening and closing shift functions; issuing entrance receipts, park passes and federal recreation passports; and verifying entrance receipts and various passes for validity dates. The employee completes shift reports to verify accountable stock sold and a register of voided transactions. This position offers preference to veterans! Anticipated duty start: March 2014.
